 Progress Starts Here

A Message from Rep. Andrew Stammel

"In 2013 I ran for office because our Town Board was not representing the people. Too many politicians have forgotten who they serve. I promise to always place our residents first and to ignore the partisan, personal, and special interests. We must work together to make our government transparent, effective, ethical, and accountable. Let's see a return to public service and deliver real common sense results for the people.

To all of our friends, family, and neighbors (Democrats, Republicans, independents, and others) who volunteered or voted in previous elections. Thanks to your hard work and support, our campaigns were successful, winning over 99% of the vote in 2019.

It has been a privilege and honor representing our Town and County and I'm looking forward to serving residents again in my third term on the County Board. We may not be able to fix all the problems right away in Washington and Albany but we can make a real positive change locally. Let's keep the momentum and deliver positive change again in the next term!

Progress starts here."

About this Website:

In his role representing the Town of Oneonta at the County level, Andrew wants to remain transparent and keep you all updated about what is happening in Cooperstown. This informational website will add to our continuing conversations at Town and County Board meetings. Your feedback is also important so, please, reach out to me. You are also welcome to call or stop by my law office on Chestnut Street.

This year, the County Board Chair has appointed me to three committees: Health and Education (as Chair); Public Safety & Legal Affairs; and Performance Review & Goal Setting. These committees concentrate on some of the issues most important to me and to you. Thank you for your interest in this website and for your continued support.
